FREEDARE smart fat
FREEDARE has opened an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for its smart fat-tire e-bike. The new FREEDARE option of electrified mobility is described by the startup as the world's first smart fat-tire electric bike. It is a multi-terrain e-bike with several impressive features to boot.
FREEDARE exceeded its expectations at the early stage of the Indiegogo launch of the new e-bike. It overshot its $10,000 target within hours of the launch of the Indiegogo campaign. The FREEDARE smart fat tire e-bike is rated IP5X and it offers battery management, theft detection, and route planning via its companion app.
FREEDARE says that the new e-bike will come in a step-through or step-over frame design (Eden or Saga). The bike will be powered by a Bafang electric motor with a 750W power output. The modest power rating of the FREEDARE fat tire e-bike delivers a riding range of up to 150km from its 960Wh battery.
FREEDARE's specialized torque sensor system helps to provide optimal battery management for the e-bike. It can optimize the pedal-assist mode based on the terrain. FREEDARE conservatively puts the average daily range of the e-bike at 80km. The bike has 26 x 4-inch tires with several innovative features including battery control, adjustable route planning, calorie tracking, and much more. These smart features are easily accessible from the smartphone app.
The remote tracking feature enables the owner to locate the bike if stolen. This is achieved via the 4G/LTE-enabled platform and the Qualcomm silicon chip on the bike.
FREEDARE projects that the first subscribers of the fat tire e-bike could receive their product by July 2023, especially in the US and Canada. The e-bike is priced starting at $1,599, with 36% chalked off the original price. The discount regime amounts to up to $1,000 in savings during the Indiegogo campaign.
